Tornado Blue – A Boat with a Story
Tornado Blue is more than just a boat – it is a living part of Adriatic maritime heritage.
This traditional wooden bracera has been sailing the sea since 1898, when it was built in Klimno on the island of Krk for cargo transport under the name Isus i Marija.
Today, more than a century later, she still proudly glides across the waves, carrying with her the spirit of past times.
With a length of 14 metres and a width of 5 metres, the boat was fully restored in 2008, with great care and respect for tradition, and transformed into a comfortable and charming yacht that blends authentic Mediterranean character with modern comfort.

Safe navigation is ensured by a Mercedes diesel engine (110 HP), GPS, VHF and autopilot – accompanied by a special detail we proudly keep: the original old compass, a reminder of times when the sea was navigated by instinct and heart.

For lovers of sailing and medieval towns, we recommend a trip to Mošćenička Draga, just 65 minutes by boat from Opatija. Upon arrival at the harbor, enjoy a visit to the House of the Sea with a small surprise, then relax on the natural pebble beach (swimming available in summer) or take a public taxi to the historic center of Mošćenica, known for the lodge and ancient olive mill (Toš), offering stunning views of the Kvarner.
Return by bus to the harbor, enjoy a delicious lunch on board, and a pleasant ride back – a perfect relaxing and memorable morning at sea.
